Is Guardianship Right For You?
Occasionally, we have a puppy that we feel would be an exceptional breeding pup, and to give the puppies consistency, we look for Guardian families to raise these puppies as their own.
Guardian families are able to take their puppy home, and the puppy lives with them. The puppy will visit our home on occasion. When it is time for her to have puppies, she will be bred and prior to delivery, she will come live with us for about 7-8 weeks, where she will deliver her puppies in her breeders home. Once the puppies are weaned, Momma will go back to her forever home.
The guardian program allows our dogs to have consistency and stability while allowing us to keep our breeding lives diverse. It also allows the Guardian family to get the Pick of the Litter as their forever puppy.
Our female puppies will have 3-4 litters, after which she will be spayed and remain with you forever. Our male puppies will remain in our program for about 5 years.
Breeding females can live up to two hours away, our males we prefer to be within about 45 minutes.
